My name is actually Lacey however as a child I was given the nickname "LuLu" and it kinda stuck! I answer to both Lacey and LuLu. I love art, design, and photography. I won my first photography award when I was 16. Since then I have been featured in several shows including: the Fort Hays State Student Exhibition, I have been in the 5 State Art Show three times, and had one of my photographs chosen to be displayed in Photographer's Forum book of who's who in photography. I love capturing the moment of two people in love and ready to start a new life together, or perhaps it is a child with the excited playful look in their eyes as to what is going to happen next. Seniors are some of my favorite sessions to do. It shows who they are at this very moment in their life, which is one of the most exciting times in one's life. At the end of the day, plain and simple I just enjoy taking pictures. I wouldn't consider myself to be a professional however when it comes to photography I am a perfectionist! I feel there is still so much for me to learn about photography but right now I am enjoying learning new things along the way. I want to show who you are and tell your story.

Award Winners

I shared about several shows I have been featured in and thought I would share just which of my artwork was selected. I have found that when you are submitting artwork to a show it is always a good idea to know your judge, I generally do some research as to what kind of photography the artist judging your work prefers. If they have won numerous awards or are known for outdoor landscapes then its always good to enter at least one landscape or whatever they prefer. My favorite picture I have entered into numerous shows and it was never selected however my top award was with the said picture. You just never know what one person will like compared to another.
